How to send mortgage calculator leads into GoHighLevel with a webhook

Step-by-step: create an inbound webhook trigger in HighLevel, connect a CalcFunnel calculator, map the fields and build the follow-up workflow.

Key takeaways

  • Use HighLevel's Inbound Webhook workflow trigger to receive calculator leads.
  • Send one real test submission before mapping fields.
  • Map contact fields to the contact, and calculation values to custom fields.
  • Leads are saved in CalcFunnel first, so a workflow problem never loses the lead.

Short answer: in HighLevel, create a workflow with the Inbound Webhook trigger and copy its URL; paste that URL into the calculator’s webhook setting in CalcFunnel; submit one test lead so HighLevel can see the payload; then map the fields and add your follow-up actions. It takes about fifteen minutes and needs no code.

Before you start

  • A CalcFunnel Pro or Business plan (webhooks aren’t on Free).
  • Access to the HighLevel sub-account where leads should land.
  • The calculator already customised and embedded, or at least previewable.

Step 1: Create the inbound webhook in HighLevel

  1. In the sub-account, go to Automation → Workflows and create a new workflow from scratch.
  2. Add the trigger Inbound Webhook.
  3. Copy the webhook URL HighLevel shows. Keep this tab open.

Search “Inbound Webhook” in the HighLevel Help Center for HighLevel’s own walkthrough of the trigger.

Step 2: Paste the URL into the calculator

  1. In CalcFunnel, open the calculator in the customizer.
  2. In its settings, paste the HighLevel URL as the calculator’s webhook and save.
  3. Make sure the calculator’s Action is a lead form or Get a Quote form, so it collects contact details.

Step 3: Send a real test submission

Open the calculator (the preview is fine), run a realistic calculation and submit the form with your own details. Back in HighLevel, click to fetch the sample request; you should see the contact fields and the calculation values.

Step 4: Map the fields

Add a Create/Update Contact action:

  • First name, last name, email, phone → the matching contact fields.
  • Tag → something like calc-mortgage so you can segment by calculator.
  • Calculation values (loan amount, down payment, estimated payment) → custom fields you create for them.

Map the source calculator name to a custom field or tag too, so reports show which calculator produced the lead.

Step 5: Build the follow-up

Useful actions after the contact is created:

  • Assign to user — round-robin to your loan officers.
  • Send email — “Here’s the breakdown you requested”, including the key numbers.
  • Send SMS — only if your form collected valid consent. See our compliance checklist.
  • Create opportunity — in your purchase or refinance pipeline.
  • Internal notification — so someone calls within minutes.

Publish the workflow.

Step 6: Test end to end

Submit once more from the live embed on a phone. Confirm the contact appears in HighLevel with tags and custom fields, the opportunity is created, and the email or text arrives. Also confirm the lead appears in CalcFunnel’s Contacts, which is your safety net.

Agency tip: one master, many sub-accounts

Build this workflow once, save it to a snapshot, and load it into each client sub-account. Then point each client’s calculator webhook at their own sub-account’s URL. More on packaging this for clients in white-label calculators for agencies.

Troubleshooting

  • Nothing arrives: check the URL was saved on the right calculator, and that the workflow is published.
  • Fields are empty: re-fetch the sample after a fresh submission, then re-map.
  • Duplicates: HighLevel’s Create/Update Contact matches by email or phone; make sure both are mapped.

About CalcFunnel Editorial Desk

The CalcFunnel editorial desk is the product team behind the calculator library. We write about the maths our calculators run (and the government sources behind every statutory figure), how loan officers, real-estate agents and agencies put calculators to work on their websites, and the compliance basics that apply to lead forms in US mortgage marketing. Guides are reviewed against the same audited data pack the calculators use; when a figure changes, the guide is updated and its date changes with it. We are not a lender and nothing here is financial or legal advice.

FAQ

Questions readers ask next

Still stuck? Ask the team — we reply within one business day.

Q.01Does CalcFunnel have a native GoHighLevel integration?
It connects through HighLevel's Inbound Webhook trigger, which is how HighLevel receives data from external tools. No custom code is needed.
Q.02Which CalcFunnel plan do I need for webhooks?
Pro or Business. The Free plan captures leads into the CalcFunnel CRM but doesn't forward them.
Q.03Can each client's calculator go to their own sub-account?
Yes. Webhooks are set per calculator, so point each client's calculators at the inbound-webhook trigger in that client's sub-account.
Q.04What if the workflow is paused or broken?
The lead is still saved in CalcFunnel, and the visitor still sees their success message. Check the workflow's execution log in HighLevel.
Q.05Can I store the loan amount and down payment on the contact?
Yes. Create custom fields in HighLevel and map the calculation values from the webhook payload to them.
Q.06Can I send the same lead to Zapier as well?
Each calculator has one webhook URL. To fan out to several tools, send it to one automation (HighLevel or Zapier) and forward from there.
