Who we are
CalcFunnel (“we”, “us”) provides embeddable mortgage and finance calculators, lead capture and a CRM at calcfunnel.com and app.calcfunnel.com. This policy explains how we handle personal information on the marketing website (calcfunnel.com) and in the application (app.calcfunnel.com). Contact details for privacy questions are at the end of this policy.
Two roles: our visitors and customers, and our customers’ leads
- For visitors to calcfunnel.com and for our customers, we decide how personal information is used. This policy describes that use.
- For people who submit a calculator embedded on a customer’s website (“end users”), our customer decides how the information is used and we process it on their behalf as a service provider. End users should read the privacy notice of the website where they used the calculator; we will direct requests we receive to the relevant customer.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, company, password (stored hashed).
- Billing details: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive limited details such as card brand, last four digits and billing address, not full card numbers.
- Communications: what you send when you contact us, subscribe to our newsletter or book a walkthrough.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed and referring pages, collected in server logs for security and reliability.
- Preferences stored on your device: theme, color palette, accessibility settings and cookie choices. These stay in your browser.
- Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies (see our cookie policy).
Information in customer workspaces
- Leads captured by calculators (such as name, email, phone, notes, consent and the calculation inputs and results), and CRM records our customers create.
How we use information
- To provide, secure and maintain the service, including authentication and two-factor authentication.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions and trials.
- To respond to requests and provide support.
- To send service announcements, and marketing emails if you opt in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To understand how the website is used, when you have consented to analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the service (hosting, payment processing, email delivery), under contracts that limit their use of it.
- Destinations you configure, such as the webhook URLs you set to forward leads to your CRM.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect rights, safety and the security of the service.
- A successor in a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax and dispute purposes. Workspace data is retained according to the service’s data-retention settings and deleted or anonymized after account closure, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Security
Workspaces are isolated from one another, sign-in supports two-factor authentication, connections use HTTPS, and sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at the address below if you believe you’ve found a vulnerability.
Your US privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete personal information;
- obtain a portable copy;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (we don’t do either);
- limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don’t use it for purposes that require this); and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Submit a request on our data request page or by email. You may use an authorized agent. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. California residents can learn more from the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Children
The service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
